WAVES is a new digital money platform that is created to address the real-world needs of ordinary businesses and end users. WAVES works with the existing financial system, rather than outside it. It is designed to enable transfers of existing currencies (USD, CNY, EUR, as well as bitcoin) on the blockchain, using tokens created by trusted gateways – exchanges and financial organisations – rather than exclusively using its own token as a means of value transfer (like bitcoin). This means it combines the stability and adoption of USD with the speed and convenience of the blockchain.
