VidSplit is an app to make video calls on a side by side split screen with the option to record it. The calls can be made with up to 4 people. We record the video calls using each user's device's camera, so that when the connection is not good, we still get the best quality of all parts of the video (we do not record the screen). If the user leaves the app during the recording of the call, the recording stops. Once the video recording is over, all parts need to wait a few seconds till the video is processed, then we upload the video with the app on the background. After we merge all parts together on one solid video, the user gets a notification that the video is ready to watch. The user can find the video on his own profile. He can then choose to make it public on VidSplit for any user on the app to find and watch, or he can keep it private, share it to his Facebook or YouTube with one click, share it by copying the link to the video, or download it to his phone.
