We want to tokenize items of artistic and historical value. Anything unique and of subjective value. The current art market is mostly based on one to one sales - be it in-person, at an auction house, or at an art fair, there is almost always just one buyer and one seller. Thanks to the streamlined nature of blockchain, we now have an opportunity to build a system that delivers much more than anything else before. One can imagine an artist selling just a part of the ownership rights to his works, while keeping the piece in his possession until the final buyer arrives. This would allow him to sustain himself financially, while maintaining control of his works.
