For the past three months, I’ve been working on ThinMusic (https://www.thinmusic.com/): It’s a web player for Apple Music. It’s open source (https://github.com/anantn/thinmusic)! As an Apple Music subscriber myself, I was frustrated because I have a computer that runs Linux and I was limited to playing music either via the native apps available on iOS and Android, or iTunes on Mac or Windows. Luckily, at WWDC 2018, Apple announced "MusicKit JS", an API that allowed third party developers to build music experiences in the browser using Apple's catalog. This led to the idea of ThinMusic, to mostly scratch my own itch, but hopefully is useful to others like me :) ThinMusic makes the entire Apple Music catalog available in the web browser. This makes Apple Music accessible to : - Linux users - Owners of devices like the new Facebook Portal (which ships with a web browser) - And others who are unable to install iTunes or the native mobile apps for any reason Thin Music also supports "scrobbling" tracks to last.fm, a feature that is hard to come by for Apple Music users. Please contact me if you have any questions. Thank you for your attention! ? -Anant from ThinMusic
