"Ping me when it's done" as a service. No one likes waiting around for a long running task to complete. Wouldn't it be great to just get a text when a job is complete. Sending texts and notifications is still a bit of a development challenge, even with amazing APIs like Twilio, whereas hitting a webpage is possible from any web browser, programming language or command line with just a few keystrokes. To shorten the gap between the two technologies I created ThenPing. Once you've created a "Ping" you can send texts and notifications to your phone with the ease of hitting a web URL. You can set it up for your personal use, or configure it to send notifications to your whole team. Use it to send texts when builds are done, dinner is ready, or when long running tasks are finished.
