SlackerNews is exactly what you're thinking about! At the essence we aim to do the same thing as other famous news aggregators: have the best content curated by a community. The key difference is our target: we aim to teams. Our community is your team. Invite our bot to the desired channels. @marq, our beloved bot, will crawl links posted in channels where it belongs, and push them to SlackerNews™. React to Upvote @marq will calculate a link's popularity based on the reactions and some other top secret parameters of its algorithm. What about private links? We're currently working on a feature that will allow to blacklist sensitive links such as links from private groups, GitHub, Google Docs, Dropbox, etc. This will be possible by using a slash command.
