Slack Shared Channels

Where you can work with anyone in Slack

This feature is great for two companies that need to discuss sensitive subjects, like, I don’t know, maybe like a merger or investment. Employees not invited to the private shared channel won’t know it exists, and content from the channel won’t show up in search results. Private shared channels can be private for either both or just one of the companies in the channel. So for example a merger discussion could be hidden and private for both companies, or a channel with a startup’s law firm could be open to all of the startup’s employees but private for just a few people in the law firm.
