Acquire skills from self-help books

? Story We love to read self-help books. We love them so much, that we read too many! We created SkillMentor so we could come back to those books and acquire all their skills, strategies, and principles. ? Now We have summarized over 100 of the best self-help books, and we have distilled 1,540 single skills/habits/strategies. The most popular categories are productivity, mindfulness, business, and leadership. Currently, 7,000 people use SkillMentor. ? Revenue We offer basic value for free. So all of our book summaries are completely for free. They are much better than other summaries (because we focus on quality, not quantity). Also, three skills from each book are free. So, there are over 300 skills that you can work on without a subscription. If you want to have access to all of our skills, there is a subscription option. But, our subscription costs are much lower than other apps in this category—less than $50 per year (or $12 per month). At this moment, the conversion from free users to subscribers is about 3-4%. Our aim is to increase this to 8-9%—just like similar mobile apps (e.g., Headspace). ? Features ? Beautiful graph of the development paths (currently only for iPhone users). It’s like an RPG! ? Best books in the category of productivity, mindfulness, and more! ? Habits and principles from famous people like Elon Musk and Steve Jobs—get their mindset, acquire their habits! ? Detailed summary for each book (100% free). ? Each self-help book contains between 8 and 30 skills for you to study. ? A clear list of actions tells you exactly what to do to acquire a skill. ? Your daily focus: A list of skills and habits that you want to acquire. ? Our evaluation system: SkillMentor will verify how close you are to acquiring your chosen skills. ? Certificates for acquiring all the skills in one path (COMING SOON). ? Making We don’t have an office; we work fully remotely. In fact, some of us have another full-time job. Technology: iOS and Android apps are native (Swift and Java/Kotlin). The backend is in Django/Python and also Firebase. Most of the books we summarized by ourselves, but some of them have been outsourced via Upwork.com. We take special care with our content, and it is ultimately more time-consuming than the technology. ? Thanks Thank you all for your support and the great reviews on AppStore and GooglePlay.
