Hi everyone, We’re Olly and Joe, and over the last year we’ve been working on an app called Skillchef (Beta). We were frustrated with conventional ways of learning how to cook, specifically how you would learn to cook recipes but not actually learn the underlying skills. Our idea was to design an app that makes cooking fun, using gamification, and that teaches cooking skills, as well as showing you some great recipes, think Duolingo but for cooking. It’s been a long time in the making, but we finally have a proof of concept that we’re proud of and would like to share.. Until now we’ve only tested the app with family and friends, so we would really like to get your feedback and establish whether the app is useful and relevant. This feedback will determine whether we continue working on the app. We would love it if you could test out our app and complete a survey, in exchange for being in a competition to win a £50 Amazon voucher. We’re looking for 100 people (give or take) from all walks of life and cooking abilities to try our app out and give us some feedback What’s in it for you? A chance to win a £50 Amazon voucher, for every 50 people who complete it Learn some cooking skills and great recipes Hopefully you’ll be part of something big! :) What do we need from you? All we ask is that you: Install the app - search for Skillchef on the android app store, or download it from here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.skillchef.skillchef Try it out for a bit, whether you want to make pizza, breakfast or just learn how to cut an onion properly Let us know what you think with a very short (3 minute) survey. We'll email you the link to the survey. The boring stuff To create an account on the app you’ll need to give your first name and your email. We adhere to GDPR and you can find more information about this in the app. Contacting us If at any point you want to contact us for feedback, you need help or anything else, you can reply to this post or you can email us at [email protected] Thank you in advance, and I really hope that with your feedback we can create something both useful and relevant to you all.
