Roost

Roost is a new travel startup that helps travelers easily and safely find a compatible roommate to share a hotel room and split the cost so they save big. Our mission is to make traveling more affordable and foster friendships between travelers. Here’s how it works: similar to Hotwire, you book a class of hotel (2, 3, or 4-star) in a geographic area. Then you see profiles of all your potential roommates going to your destination on your dates. Filter by gender, age, ratings and more and see photos, and read reviews. You tag the profiles of people you would want to share a room with and you get your roommate once there’s a mutual match (like Tinder). Once there’s a match we send you (and your roommate) your specific hotel reservation. You aren't charged until you match with a roommate and you can cancel at any time. Roost is not a hookup site and safety is really important to us. All "Roosters" are background checked and their identity has been verified before they're allowed to use Roost.
