Platd

Platd is a food-focused social app designed for serious-yet-amateur home cooks. Its aim is to solve two of the biggest challenges home cooks face today, namely, getting new recipe ideas and planning out meals and groceries for the week. Current solutions such as digital recipe communities such as BBC Good Food, NYT Cooking and Food 52, as well as, tools like Google and Pinterest, offer utility and reliability. However they are inflexible, their quality is “hit or miss” and they require a lot of sifting from home cooks. What’s different about Platd is that it offers a user-generated recipe feed that is tailored to your preferences, and the ability to easily plan out your meals and groceries directly from the recipes you want to try.
