Openwords is a free and open source language learning webapp. Instructors and universities can express their own priorities in a mobile language learning platform; their students practice on these problems outside of the classroom and teachers can follow their performance. A diverse array of problem types are possible in Openwords lessons ranging from sentence construction, typing, listening and hearing exercises, phonetics, production, vocabulary and creative combinations of all of these types. Openwords is open in two senses 1) All open source, all OER (open educational resources). 2) Instructors and universities have control over the lesson problems and content.
