Launched in July of 2019, MoveMyCouch wants to connect people that can help with small moves to people that can help with a move. People wanting to make small moves have a limited number of options available to them. For example finding someone that will move a couch or refrigerator can be challenging. The moving options could be: - A friend with a truck and the ability to lift - Renting a truck from U-Haul or a hardware store and then finding someone to help lifting - A service like Dolly, Lugg or Go-Share (limited geography) - MoveMyCouch which only connects people i.e. not involved in the move Revenue generation, through ads, would come when the number users reaches the hundreds of thousands. As of August 27 we are at 400 active users. There are thousands of movers paying monthly to advertise on Craigslist to capture moves, providing a no cost option could bring them to the platform.
