The Ibex Surveyor app enables the user to connect with a Ricoh Theta camera (potentially other makes and models too) and control it over a non-internet Wi-Fi connection, to capture 360 panoramic images. Simply switch on the 360 camera and let our app connect to it automagically - no need for any manual switching between Wi-Fi connections! The app can also capture the GNSS co-ordinates (GPS is a trade name) of each panoramic image so that the survey can be plotted into Google maps (or other). These co-ordinates can be captured using the user's phone or tablet to within 5-10m, or an RTK device to enhance this to sub-centimetre precision. A survey can consist of one or more panoramic images, with or without co-ordinates. A survey can also be created without any imagery, co-ordinates only. The user can upload a completed survey to our cloud server to: 1. view these panoramas on a bigger screen; 2. view the plotted co-ordinates - click on each point to view a tour through the survey; 3. measure heights/ distances/ polygon areas; 4. add annotations and overlay files (icons, photos, docs). The app has basic measurement tools included, to facilitate real-time measures in the field. Surveys can be edited and re-uploaded at any time.
