Incubating at the Polsky Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at University of Chicago. Currently driven by a team of eight seasoned professionals. Bootstrapping and planning to start pitching in 2Q17. The problem we solve: Biomedicine is the complicating factor in modern healthcare. Complicating because it is utterly incomprehensible to consumers and patients who do not have a high level of education and sophistication. It is also a divisive factor in modern healthcare. It divides clinicians from patients who cannot understand themselves or their caregivers. It divides clinicians into subspecialties who each make the “big picture” of health obscure if not practically inconsequential. It likewise separates health science from wellness, because biomedicine and pathophysiology are concerned only with sickness rather than health. Humaginarium makes health science, and the healthcare that science drives, understandable, empowering consumers and patients to lead better lives.
