Honest Math is a passion project. The founder is a finance professional with little patience for bad analysis and advice, and frustration with the quality of personal finance tools available to investors and advisors. People need serious financial planning software. The internet is giving people more power than ever to take control of their personal finances. We love seeing the growth of the financial independence movement, but it bothers us tremendously that some of the most popular "retirement calculators" and "FIRE" tools on the web are terribly flawed. And we expect that most users of these models are unaware of just how ill-suited they are for long-term planning. So, our aim is to empower folks with better information and resources.
