GR8 EATS is a small startup based in Augusta, GA. Founded by two ambitious software engineers that have set out to solve a problem... where in the world is the food truck? We are both passionate foodies and love eating at new places but we often find that finding these mobile restaurants is very difficult. The current solutions are sparse and require heavy participation from the food truck owner. As everyone knows, running your own business consumes most of ones time. As such, it is very difficult for owners to juggle their social media game and run their truck at the same time. That is where we come in. Using gamification to encourage fans of food trucks to check-in and log truck locations, we capture the power of crowdsourced information. Think Waze but for food truck locations. We provide an easy to consume, up to date list of food trucks around the user's city. We also go one step further and provide a comprehensive list of food items available for purchase presented in a uniform and professional way. Finally, we provide the one crucial aspect missing from most current solutions, up to date, realtime location information and truck availability.
