flypdeck, LLC

The world's first electronic action flipping toy where the game knows when you land a trick!

KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN IS CURRENTLY LIVE! The company started in fall, 2016 when founders, Bryce Wells and John Fuller, decided they wanted to create something new. Bryce came up with the idea for flypdeck one day while flipping his remote during a commercial. Within a month, they had a microcontroller with motion sensors in a clunky pencil box stuck together with Play-Do, and proved the concept. From there, things moved fast. The large clunky pencil box with Play-Do turned into a slimmer pencil box with components super glued in place, a screen and buttons added to the mix. It was around this time the third member of the team, Patrick Wilson, jumped on board. By fall 2017, the first market worthy units were being built in John's garage using DIY foam and plastic molding techniques, and placing their own SMT components on custom PCBs. They launched a Kickstarter campaign in March, 2018, soon after submitting a provisional patent, and are targeting Q4 2018 for the product launch.
