Why the Flex-Eboard is different Lots of eboard manufacturers are moving towards integrated battery decks which is fine, but that's where the Flex-Eboard is different. An integrated battery means you lose the flexibility of the deck, plus you are stuck with one deck design. Plus we have chosen not to move to Hub motors for a few reasons. They have poor torque whereas the Flex-Eboard is geared up in a 3:1 ratio. They have a tiny thickness of PU wheel on the outside of the hub motor. This reduces the ride to a bone shaking experience on anything but a perfect surface. Our customers can upgrade motors in the future when more powerful ones become available. No need for a whole new expensive hub motor. Our innovative battery case is flexible and 'bolt-on' style meaning you have a flexible more grounded ride and you aren't tied to a single design. It's really easy to swap the deck in the future and means that customisation is endless. We've also developed Rough Stuff polyurethane wheel
