FlatBud was simply created to remove the housemate lottery and to allow people to connect with one another in a more meaningful way, before living together. The FlatBud App is an innovative solution to this problem that allows housemates to join specific housemate groups, where everyone in the group shares specific interests or search characteristics. Each group offers a chat stream that allows housemates to post what they are looking for, or post a room. Housemate Groups are split between public, private and hidden groups, allowing users to choose what groups they join or request entry to. Private housemate groups allow for a slightly safer space for people to find new housemates, as group requests are monitored by FlatBud.
