FlashFX is a browser-based motion graphics and animation editor, built as an accessible alternative to Adobe After Effects. It runs entirely in the browser with no installation required, targeting motion designers, content creators, and developers who need professional animation tools without the cost and complexity of the Adobe ecosystem. The editor is built in TypeScript and React, using Three.js for 3D rendering. It features a full timeline system with keyframe interpolation and motion curves, a layered scene graph architecture, masks, blend modes, and an effects pipeline. Assets are saved in a custom binary format called .ffx, designed to outperform the Lottie JSON standard in both file size and runtime performance. A marketplace lets creators share and sell templates and presets, and the platform supports audio-driven animation with motion curve learning powered by neural network research. Pricing runs across three tiers: a free plan with core features, an Ultra subscription for full access, and a Teams per-seat plan for collaborative workflows. 3D engine access is available as a one-time unlock. Current traction sits at roughly 15,200 total users, 3,400 Discord members, 1,200 beta users, and 2,000 waitlist sign-ups, all organic and pre-revenue.
