Listening has always been my favorite way to learn something new. I first realized this in college, but I didn't begin to take advantage until after I graduated. Four years ago, I thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail. I discovered a love of listening to audiobooks. I listened to a new one almost every day. Three years ago, I drove for Lyft and Uber for four months. I discovered that the Boston Public Library has an incredible - and free - audiobook collection (Overdrive) that's accessible with your library card. 1,600 rides meant a lot of listening. A year ago, I started turning news and articles into audio files one at a time to listen to throughout the day. Along the way, I tried a number of different apps, but I never fell in love with any of them. Last week, a few friends and finally decided to start building an app that quenches our listening obsession. With Eariously, listening to news and articles just means adding a URL.
