Djeepo is a platform where people can share unused space. Djeepo finds private storage spaces (basements, attic and spare rooms) for those needing extra room for their belongings. Users store their belongings nearby while saving money. Hosts earn extra income by sharing their unused space. By sharing space, there is less movement of goods and more interaction and trust among people. There is a high and ever increasing demand for space to store stuff. Traditional self-storage facilities tend to be expensive, remotely located and impersonal. At the same time, even in dense populated urban areas such as Amsterdam, people have unused space in their homes and properties that they are willing to rent out to other people. We brought these two problems together, and found the solution: Djeepo is an online platform where space owners can rent out unoccupied space to other people who are looking for a place to store their belongings. It’s the peer-to- peer alternative for storage.
