Creepbeep as an idea took birth on the new year eve of 2017 in Bengaluru, India. In an unfortunate turn of events, that New Years, women partying in a popular suburb of the city were molested in open by a rallying crowd in a popular pub street. Calling for help only turned out to be an embarrassment to the young ladies the following morning. Through this incident we really got thinking about how can technology solve this problem of insecurity fatigue in young women working in happening urban cities. We started sketching out a mobile application for this. The idea of the app was to allow the user to give transparent feedback when felt "creeped out" in a place. People make the place what it is and the place is home for people at that point in time. So why not be clear about that. We want the users to feel at home when they visit places, with our app.
