Buk is a digital book platform that lets publishers and authors get exposure for their books and lets peoples share them socially. The site/app let users create deep links (permanent URLs) out of any content they highlight in the digital books on the platform. The highlighted quotes can then be used in blogs posts, documents or shared immediately on social media (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn). Buk.io lets any publisher/author upload an ebook and make it available either in a browser or a mobile app. This flexible platform currently provides over 50,000 public domain and paid books, all with Wikipedia integration. For publishers/authors, it is easy to use, as they can upload ePUB files for free and set up prices as they see fit. Buk is is free to use and available on the web, the App Store, Google Play and it covers all devices, including Chrome Books.
