BeatPlaylist is a clean, simple music streaming platform powered by YouTube. You can search for music and podcasts, create playlists separate from your Google account or follow playlists created by the community, and play songs without having to keep a tab constantly open. Premium is currently enabled for all users by default and Adblock can be disabled through the settings page. I was motivated to start building BeatPlaylist back in 2016 because I was frustrated with YouTube’s playlist system. I wanted a simple Desktop application similar to Spotify that was powered by YouTube. To achieve this, BeatPlaylist uses an embedded web-browser and Java-Javascript bridges to communicate between Java and the Chromium Browser.
