Archain is a de-centralised, permanent and unmodifiable archive of the internet, inside a cryptocurrency that truly scales. Whilst the internet has revolutionised the way in which journalists, politicians and companies reach their audiences, it has also proved to be highly vulnerable to censorship. With Archain in place, it would no longer be possible for documents and politically sensitive news to be censored at the whim of any group or individual. In order to scale to the necessary sizes, Archain uses a novel blockchain-like data structure called a blockweave, which incentivises miners in the system to self-organise long-term data storage. Archain also allows developers to build applications that make use of the network's de-centralised, uncensorable and permanent data storage system. On top of this, Archain allows developers to build apps that receive a live-feed of hand-curated documents of interest from the internet.
