ScreenshotRun is a screenshot API. You send it a URL, it gives you back an image. Simple as that. Under the hood it runs headless Chromium, handles all the browser stuff — waiting for pages to load, dealing with lazy content, cookie banners, the works. You just make an API call and get a PNG, JPEG, or WebP back. What you can do with it: - Full-page screenshots or just visible viewport. Set any resolution you want — mobile, tablet, desktop, custom. - Capture specific elements by CSS selector. Handy when you only need a chart, a pricing table, or a hero section. - Block ads and tracking scripts. Pages render cleaner and faster without third-party junk. - Dark mode rendering. Force dark color scheme without manually toggling anything. - Emulate real devices — iPhone, Pixel, iPad, whatever. Proper user agents and viewport sizes. - Hide elements via CSS selectors before capture. Remove popups, banners, chat widgets from the shot. Common use cases: link previews, social media cards (OG images), automated QA and visual regression testing, competitor monitoring, generating PDF reports from web pages. The API is REST-based. One endpoint, straightforward parameters. Most integrations take under 20 lines of code. Response times are typically 2-5 seconds depending on page complexity. Free tier included. Pay-as-you-go after that — no monthly minimums or annual contracts.
