Pocket Screen is a lightweight macOS menu bar app that turns the frontmost window into a compact, always-on-top PiP-style reference view. Keep a PDF, browser page, chat, video, dashboard, tutorial, or other app window visible while you work somewhere else. It is designed for single-display workflows where repeated window switching breaks concentration or hides information you need to keep checking. Choose the window you want to reference, start Pocket Screen from the menu bar or a configurable global shortcut, then position the floating view wherever it is useful. You can move and resize it, pause the live view, adjust its opacity, or enable click-through mode so mouse input reaches the app underneath. Pocket Screen can also open automatically when you log in. Practical uses include: - Reading source material while writing or editing - Following a tutorial while completing each step - Monitoring a chat, dashboard, status page, or project tracker - Keeping meeting notes visible during a video call - Watching reference video while working in another app - Comparing information without repeatedly rearranging windows Pocket Screen uses macOS Screen Recording permission only to display the selected window as a local live preview.
