I help run Agent Island. It is a free, open-source status companion for Claude Code and Codex, built for developers who need to know when a local coding-agent session is working, waiting, or needs attention. Agent Island shows live session state and your-turn alerts from the macOS menu bar/notch or a Windows floating top bar. It supports macOS 13+ and Windows 10/11. The privacy model is deliberately local-first: Agent Island reads local transcript files, does not upload session data to Agent Island, requires no Agent Island account, and includes no product telemetry.
